Western University, Student Recreation Centre
The Western Student Recreation Centre (WSRC) located at Western University is a state-of-the-art facility and is home to Campus Recreation. The Recreation Centre is a prominent element of the University’s goal to deliver the best student experience.
The WSRC was built south of the South Valley Building and affixed to the Thompson Recreation and Athletic Centre. V&anderwesten & Rutherford Associates Inc. designed the electrical and mechanical systems for the new facility and pool.
The WSRC includes an aquatic facility with a 50 meter pool, a fitness centre, gymnasiums, squash courts, a wellness suite, multi-purpose studios, lounge space meeting and training rooms, administrative area and Campus Recreation offices, membership/control centre, and café and vending services.
