St. Joseph's Health Care
St. Joseph’s Health Care maintains several health care sites in London and nearby St. Thomas. The Grosvenor Street site includes St. Joseph’s Hospital, the Monsignor Roney Facility for Ambulatory Care, the Lawson Health Sciences Research Centre and the central boiler plant. The Mount Hope site, located across the street and one block south of the Grosvenor campus, includes the new St. Mary’s Long Term Care Facility, Marian Villa and St. Mary’s Hospital Annex. The Parkwood site in south London includes long term care and mental health facilities. The St. Thomas Psychiatric Hospital and London Psychiatric Hospital facilities have recently joined St. Joseph’s Health Care and will be redeveloped as part of the overall restructuring of health care in London.
The redevelopment of St. Joseph’s Hospital was approached in phases. The phases included the construction of a new 90,000 sq. ft. surgical care and diagnostic imaging centre, a new education centre (already completed) and the addition of 2-storeys to the Monsignor Roney power facility, the renovation of 7 floors from acute care use to ambulatory care and the relocation of 111,000 sf of the existing facility.
