​Sharon Barr is a Senior Electrical engineer, Office Manager and Director of the Ottawa office. Sharon has been a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario since 1991, and has been with the firm since 2002. Sharon’s expertise includes lighting design, power distribution systems, emergency generators and life safety systems. She is a strong project leader, and excels at managing tight schedules and deadlines. As the Director of the Ottawa office, Sharon is actively involved in all M&E projects, reviews all contract documents to ensure they adhere to our companies standards, and mentors the engineers-in-training and CAD technologists in the office. Her experience covers a vast range of institutional and healthcare projects, and has a strong reputation for providing thorough studies and building condition assessments. Sharon is actively involved with the local chapter of Professional Engineers Ontario, and has held numerous executive committee positions since 2012, including Chapter Chair in 2016 and is currently Chair of the Licensure Assistance Program. Sharon is licensed to practice (P.Eng.) in Nunavut. Her volunteer activities have been focused on education outreach and engaging students in the profession. Sharon has a working knowledge of French.
