RCMP Police College
This renovation comprised of revisions to communal and private washrooms on several floors in the RCMP College Building, including the Mess Hall. Renovations were to bring the spaces up to current Government workplace standards in terms of plumbing, lighting, and accessibility requirements.
A preliminary Investment Analysis Report (IAR) was conducted early in the design, outlining options and estimated costs. options were presented to the client; project risks were identified early, and estimates were included as a submission requirement, Low flow fixtures , plumbing fixture,and energy efficient LED lighting was specified. V&R coordinated with the Project Management team and Architect to ensure the design met the user requirements. Reliability level security clearance was a requirement for the design team. National Master Specifications (NMS) were utilize ad per Public Works & Government Services Canada Standards
