V&R provided mechanical and electrical design services for a standalone (within a townhouse community) of 8 stacked units in townhouse form at 534 St. Clair Street in Chatham, Ontario. The design is stick frame, slab on grade with individual/per unit HVAC, which we provided services for.
The HVAC system consists of utilization of VRF (Variable Refrigerant System) for both heating and cooling. Ventilation was done with ERV dedicated to each suite utilizing the washroom exhaust. Each suite was provided with a dedicated hot water tank for domestic water. Two suites were barrier-free throughout, including both kitchen and laundry facilities.
Electrical distribution and lighting were provided throughout as required to meet the various suite arrangements.
