Position Title: REVIT/CAD Designer
Position Hours: Full Time- 37.5 hours/week
Position Location: London, Ontario
Working within multi discipline project teams, the ideal candidate will be an energetic team player that possesses experience in the mechanical design of institutional, healthcare, municipal, commercial and industrial facilities.
Your responsibilities will include all aspects of design and analyses including system selection, life cycle cost calculations, and implementation of systems.

REVIT/CAD Designer Responsibilities:
- Experience working with engineering in simple to complex mechanical buildings including utilization of design programs (AutoCAD, REVIT).
- The ability to work independently on complex institutional, industrial, municipal, healthcare and commercial engineering projects.
- To develop an understanding of building codes, design concepts and V&R standards
- Design and prepare mechanical reports, contract documents, drawings and specifications for all aspects of mechanical systems for institutional, healthcare, municipal, commercial and industrial facilities.
- Meeting with Engineers, and Designers to review blueprints and design drawings.
- Inputting design specifications into the REVIT/CAD software.
- Creating surface and solid REVIT/CAD models according to client specifications.
- Working with a design team and individually on REVIT/CAD projects.
- Reviewing REVIT/CAD models with the client and making minor adjustments.
- Conducing final model rendering and delivering the final product.
- Completing job reports.
- The ability to carry out routine construction assignments, site surveys and field work.
- Assisting with the development and design of contract documents.
- Assisting with creating preliminary design.
- Conform to company employment standards and office procedures.
- Reporting of progress to project managers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Design.
- REVIT/CAD Certification.
- Previous experience as a REVIT/CAD Designer.
- Advanced knowledge of REVIT/CAD and AutoCAD software.
- Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings.
- Understanding of building design and mechanical processes.
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually on projects.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- When necessary, attend meetings with project managers.
