Labatt Memorial Park
Labatt Memorial Park, located in London, ON, is a historic baseball stadium celebrated as the world’s oldest continually operating baseball grounds.
Nestled along the Thames River, the park offers a great atmosphere for sporting activities. The park has hosted countless historical moments, including numerous championship games, and remains a favorite venue for baseball enthusiasts. With the park being such a hub of activity, it is important that the field remains in great condition. Over the years, the field lighting for the park had deteriorated significantly, causing quality issues for the park. In need of an updated field lighting system, the City of London decided to look into what they could do to improve their situation and brought in Vanderwestern & Rutherford Associates (VRA), Inc. to review the project and headline the new system.
Spartan Sports Lighting was able to collaborate with VRA, Inc. on behalf of the city. This upgrade features new direct buried spun concrete poles, pre-aimed cross arms, and Spartan Sports Lighting’s signature STRATOS Light Fixture (LED). The result is a modern, enhanced lighting system that illuminates the field for evening games.
